Day 28: zero in Redding

Today we are lazy. The laziest. We decide to stay in Redding one more day, and then head up to Burney Falls tomorrow to camp and hike and send me on my way again.

Today we sleep late. Eat donuts. Lounge and swim at the pool. Watch HGTV.

                                I will eat anything with the words "Maple" and "Bacon" in the title.

 

The homemade "butter cream" in this donut  was killer. 

 

Is that a famous model lounging at a swanky resort?! 

                                                                   The Sundial Bridge

                         The delicious taco truck--with 9 different burrito styles to choose from. Tough day.

I'm tempted to just bypasses this day, because I feel like such a hiker fraud, but this mini vacation is too good to forget.

We see that the Sundial Bridge is host to free music for the next few days, and we decide to head back down there around 6, and enjoy some tunes. When we get there I see a woman to looks immediate familiar. Holy hell, it's Jessica Douglas! A girl I haven't seen since middle school. Wow! We catch up for a bit, and then Kacie and I enjoy the country music band (it was old country) and the taco truck. Damn, I'm lucky.
